The Quartermile in Edinburgh

Edinburgh International Book Festival

Wow! The Edinburgh International Book Festival has found itself a spectacular home this year!

The magnificent building which housed the old Royal Infirmary has been converted into a multi-award winning development known at the Quartermile – a mix of commercial, residential, leisure, retail, university properties. And the Book Festival is tucked neatly in at the back. My limited photographic skills and equipment can’t capture the whole panorama but a few simple shots taken in brilliant August sunshine will hopefully tell their own story.

As you can see, the world of books is still very much alive and kicking!
